The show is based off of the quintessential 90's movie of the same name (which was based off of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew and is what made Heath Ledger famous).

The clothes are great because their are two distinct looks; the not-too-tough, artsy urban look of feminist and said shrew, Kat Stratford. The other look is of the younger Stratford sister, Bianca, whose bubbly ambitions include being popular and becoming a cheerleader so her style is a girly and sweet (but more 80's revival teen than Lil Bo Peep, it's not as bad as it sounds though) reflection of that.
I think it would be awesome to find some of the clothes in it.
